Doug, To publish the newsletter online, you must first create a plain html document containing only the content of the newsletter.  You MUST name that HTML file pg_news_current.html

The page where the newsletter will appear contains a 'component' that will automatically embed 'pg_news_current.html' file into the correct position.  You do not need to add anything ells.

If you want to add photo's, you will need to save the photo's in a separate folder on the web server called 'images/' which is already in place, and make sure the in the html code points to that folder.

For example, the html code for the image below looks like the following;

The above image MUST be saved in the folder 'images/' or the image will not be displayed. 

When the news letter is ready to be published, you must log on the the web server using the following instructions;

1: go to https://www.tripod.lycos.co.uk/build/

2: If asked enter the username "brighton_bsac" (without the "")

3: Enter the password I sent you with the email.

4: When the page loads, you are given some choices where to go, Click on the "Web FTP" tab shown in Fig.1

5: You are then displayed a list of files and folders.  In that list you will find a file called "pg_newsletter_current.html". That file is this one, Rename that file to "pg_newsletter_old.html" so it is not overwritten, and upload the new file in its place. write down the old file name and keep it handy  incase you need this information in the future.  You can access this file by typing the following in the URL bar in your web browser. http://members.lycos.co.uk/brightonbsac/pg_newsletter_old.html

6: Upload all the image files to the folder "images/"

7: Click on the "View" button next to the file "pg_news_current" to confirm the file has uploaded correctly, and that the images are displayed.  If the images do not display, check the html code points to the image folder as I explained above.

8: Now find the file called "pg_news_newsletter.html" and click view button.  You should now see the newsletter embedded in the web site, complete with the navigation bar on the left hand side.  If you do not, then check the file name is correct,  It must be pg_news_current.html and is case sensitive.

9:If you need to make any changes to the newsletter, ONLY change the file called "pg_news_current.html" and DO NOT make any changes to the file "pg_news_newsletter.html" or the page may not display correctly.  You can make changes by clicking the "Edit" button next to the file name.  Remember to click the "Save" button the save any changes made.

Remember, you may have to click the "Refresh" button before any changes take effect.
