What's New
&
What's To Come

Introduction

Simple put, this whole web site is new and undergoing development. I am in the process of redesigning the look and feel of the web site.  It is still early days and things may not be quite right yet, but hopefully in the not too distant future this will be a fully functional, informative and interactive web site.

I do, however, need your help.  I can do much of the fiddly bits of web site designing, and HTML editing etc (although I am still very much in the learning stage), but the site would be very dull without some input from the members.  I therefore ask for your input.  If you have any interesting stories, advice, or information that would be relevant to this site*, then please e-mail any text and photo attachments to me at chrislangmaid@yahoo.com or pass them to Doug Stevens at the Club House.

*Grandma's famous 'chocolate fudge cake' recipe could be included as long as everyone gets a slice on the next boat trip.

The site will be optimizes for 800x600 screen resolution and Internet Explorer, because, sadly, that is what most people use.  I can monitor the web browser settings and if this changes I will update the site to match what the majority of the visitors use.

I will try and keep the content crisp, clean, informative, and maintain a consistent feel throughout the site.  If you feel the site dose not deliver what you expect, or you find it rather dull then please let me know.  Please remember, however, that flashy graphics, large quantities of big photographs and other 'real neat' stuff that can make a web site look 'real cool', only slows download time, sometimes to a crawl. (unless, of course you are lucky enough have access to a T3 connection)

What's To Come

So what's to come.  Well, as well as filling in, and updating the usual information regarding training, diving, club activities etc I will also be adding the following;

Site Forum - The Brighton Web Forum is no in place and fully operational. Visitors can leave messages, or ask questions, for which anybody may leave a reply.  You may want to advertise some equipment for sale or similar,  It will be very much like a notice board, accessible to anyone on the internet.

Guest Book - The Guest Book is now in place and fully operational.  This is very popular on similar sites, where visitors can leave short messages.

Search Form - Search the site for a particular keyword or phrase. This feature can be found at the bottom of each page.  This feature is still undergoing fine tuning.

Submit Form - An online form to submit user information which can be customised to suit many different needs.

Newsletter - Get your monthly news letter online.

Links - Links to other information or clubs on the internet, some good dive sites, or a great dive shop online.  You will find them in the links section.  If you have a web site you think should be included, then please let me know.

If you have any comments or suggestions, or are a 'demon' with graphics software and would like to contribute to this website in any way, then please let me know.  I will need all the help I can get.

Best regards,
Chris Langmaid
